Saltville, VA Edward A. "Rocky" Harris, age 63, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Rocky was a well-known hardworking mason over the years. One of his biggest accomplishments was building the Hugh Helton Memorial Veterans Wall in Saltville. He was also an excellent lumber grader. Rocky was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph "Bunny" Harris and Shirley C. Hamilton; one brother, Jeffrey Harris; nephew, Greg Powers; daughter, Christy Pennington; and granddaughter, Addisyn Nadine Harris. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Harris; his son, Dakota A. Harris (Kristen West); daughter, Tasha Pennington; two sisters, Tammy Harris "Sambo", and Kimberly Widener; nine grandchildren, Caitlyn, Alisha, Breonna, Jaylynn, Zach, Cheyenne, Abby, McKenzie, and one on the way; beloved dogs, Boomer, Brownie, and Bandit. A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Williams officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
