Edward "Anthony" Snead, age 65, slipped into Heaven on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, VA.

Anth   ony is a loving husband, father, and popaw, affectionately known as "Anfee" by his family. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was very passionate about his service for his country. In his military service, he traveled overseas and many different states. He was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to fish and hunt. Anthony has an esteemed reputation in carpentry and was a perfectionist at his work. He will be remembered and dearly missed by his family, friends, and coworkers he made over the years. His family was his whole life and he was theirs.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Melanie Candace Snead; parents, Charles and Marie Jackson Snead; sister, Debbie Heath; brothers, Clifford and George Snead; and special sister-in-law, Donna Goff.

Anthony is survived by the love of his life of 49 years, Kimberly Goff Snead; daughter, Kristi "Baby Doll" and Daniel Orr; son, Jonathon "son" and Marie Eastridge Snead; sister, Erma and Robert Prater; brothers, Mike and Annette Snead, Delmar S  nead; special brothers-in-law, Bryon and Carlene Goff and Kevin Goff; he was adored by his "grannybabies," Layken "Laykie Bakie," Addison "Mae Mae," Mia "MamaMia," Maddox "Bubby," and Shawn; his furry loves, Clementine, FeeFee, Coconut, and Harley; several nieces and nephews and a host of many loving friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 23, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Helton Family Cemetery, 30114 Aistrop Road, Saltville, VA 24370, with Robert Prater officiating. Military rites will be rendered by the U.S. Army and the VFW Post #4667.

Serving as pallbearers will be his nephews, Travis, Chris, Justin, Noah, and Alex.
