Edwina Lou Keesee

Edwina Lou Keesee, age 79, passed away on March 26, 2024. She was born on December 4, 1944 in Saltville, Virginia. Known for her loving nature and feisty personality, Edwina brought joy and laughter wherever she went. She loved to craft, garden, and spend time outdoors. Most importantly, her world was centered around the love she had for her family. Her love for them knew no bounds, especially for her grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, James E. and Mildred P. Franklin; her husband, Paul David "Cannonball" Keesee; her four siblings, Barbara "Tootsie" Ritchie, Thomas "Sonny" Keesee, Jean Blevins, and Mildred Norris.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Karen Evans and husband Michael, and Paula Hammond and husband Scott; her six grandchildren, Tyler Parris and wife Kaitlyn, Brady Parris, Morgan and Megan Hammond, and Mathew and David Evans; three great-grandchildren, Eli Parris, Maisie Jo Camper, and Oaklynn Parris; brother-in-law, Ned Norris; sister-in-law, Carolyn Keesee; special son-in-law, Charlie Parris; several nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

A graveside service for Edwina will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, VA. Everyone is asked to please meet at the cemetery.
