Ellen J. "Dolly" Frye Saltville, VA Ellen J. "Dolly" Frye, age 78, of Saltville, Virginia passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. She was a member of McCready United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucky E. "Deanie" Frye, Jr.; her parents, Gus and Myrtle McNew; sister, Wanda Jackson; brothers, Jerry McNew, and Robert "Bo" McNew; and brother-in-law, Blake Frye. She is survived by her son, Jody Frye and wife Kay; granddaughter, Kelli Pickle and husband Kodi; and great-grandson, Kade Pickle; four sisters, Jean Doane, Retta Whitehead and husband G.C., Teresa Surber and husband Richard, Debbie Poston and husband Bobby; two brothers, Ricky McNew and wife Denise, and Ronnie McNew and wife Carmelle; she is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Joye Blackwell, Cathy Cahill and husband Sonny, Brenda Frye, Mary McLemore, and Sharon McNew; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Niswanger's Children's Hospital NICU. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Mount Rose Cemetery with Pastor Barry Loupe officiating. Everyone is asked to please meet at the cemetery.
