Marion, Va. Eltrue Taylor, age 82, passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, William A. and Nancy Belle Taylor; brothers, Dave, Gene, Garland, Joe, and Hoot Taylor; sisters, Lucille Atwell, and Mary Surber. He is survived by sisters, Janie Hayton, Gracie Ann Barker, and Edna Jeanette Surber; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be announced at a later date. The family would like to remember Eltrue with the following poem. I Am Home I am home in heaven, dear ones; oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, safely home in heaven at last. There is work still waiting for you, so, you must not idly stand; do it now, while life remaineth- You shall rest in God's own land.
