Obituary

Ernest Eghark "Ernie" Price, age 84, of Saltville, Va., went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2022, in Meadowview, Va. Ernie was affectionately known as Cannonball due to his abilities while playing baseball and softball. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Sue Moore; his special friend and companion, Judy Thomas; his parents, Dan and Mandy Tuggle Price; his three brothers, Dale Price, Henry Price, Howard Price; his five sisters, Virgie Osborne, Bonnie Harris, Georgie Tuggle, Bessie Price, and his special twin sister, Ernestine Perkins. He is survived by several nieces and nephews, and one special niece who cared for him through his illness. A graveside will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Friday, March 11, 2022, in Glade Spring Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Tracy Puckett and Pastor Earl Thomas officiating. Bobby Harris, Steve Perkins, Gary Taylor, Mark Taylor, Lee Eastridge, and Buster Perkins will serve as pallbearers. Scott Hammond, Bob Guinn, Jeff "Doctor" Moore, and Steve Hylton will serve as honorary pallbearers. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Friday, March 11, 2022, in D.R.
