Eva May June Taylor

Pearisburg, VA

Eva May June Taylor, age, 96, gained her angel wings on Friday, November 18, 2022, in Blacksburg, VA. She was born in July of 1926 in Saltville, VA to the late John Steven and Eva Surber Blevins. In 1944, she married the love of her life Sanders T. "Tuck" Taylor. They enjoyed 47 years together before his passing in 1991. From their union two children were born, Faye Darlene and Sanders Steven.

June was a faithful member of McCready United Methodist Church and also attended Pearisburg FUMC when she relocated to Pearisburg, VA in 2009 to be closer to her family.

June was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Faye and siblings, John, Avery, and Estil Blevins.

She is survived by her son, Steve Taylor and wife Debbie; grandsons, Jason (Heather) and Joshua (Cora); great-grandchildren, Sophia, Chloe, and Wyatt Taylor; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Halsey officiating. The burial will be following at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, VA. The family will be receiving friends from 12 until 1 p.m. prior to the service.
