Saltville, VA Evelyn Louise Call, age 88, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, July 13, 2021. She was at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Call; daughter-in-law, Suzy Call; parents, Clinton and Catherine Davidson; step mother, Pearl Davidson; brothers, L.B. Davidson, Herbert Davidson, Buddy Davidson and David Davidson (half-brother); sisters, Helen Steiner, Juanita Funkhauser and Betty Crosswhite. Evelyn was the last of her family. She is survived by her sons, Michael Call (Reba), of Lebanon, VA, Dean Call (Ann) of Saltville, Jeffrey Call (Carol) of Saltville, and Scotty Call of Chilhowie, VA; half-brothers, Erikus Davidson, Dennis Davidson and Roger Davidson all of Bristol, VA; half-sister Freda Butler (Joe) of Marion, VA; grandchildren, Jason Bordwine (Kashia) of Damascus, VA, Jeffrey Call Jr. (Kara) Denver, CO, and Mikie Call of Lebanon, VA; great grandchildren, Ethan Bordine and Brendon Bordwine; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Eunice Burgess and Nell Surber. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
