Frances Jean Cregger "Bug"

Saltville, VA

Frances Jean Cregger, lovingly known as "Bug" went into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the age of 87. Bug lived a life deeply rooted in faith. She was a pillar of strength for her family. Her gentle spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many. While we will miss her dearly, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived, the joy she brought to those around her and the beautiful music she brought to our lives. We find comfort and hope in the promise of being together again in the presence of our Lord.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Gracie Marshall; her husband, John "Notchie" Cregger; infant daughter, Terri Lynn; son Gene Cregger; grandson, Zachary Cregger; and two brothers, Cecil and J.W. Marshall.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Johnny Cregger and wife Terry, David Cregger and wife Cindy; sister, Bonnie Lynn and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Johnny E. and wife Dee Dee, Jennifer and husband Travis, and Cody and Jeffery; nine great-grandchildren, Nichole, Hunter, Lilly, Collin, Skylar, Carson, Canaan, Dallas, and Brantlee; granddaughter in heart, Laken Price McGhee; extended family and many nieces, nephews and numerous friends that she loved.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Pastor of Benny Frye officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Mount Rose Cemetery with Pastor Barry Loupe officiating.
