Sep 11, 1951 — Jun 3, 2025
Saltville, VA
Frances "Frankie" Tuggle DeBusk, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2025, at Johnson City Medical Center. Frankie was a faithful member of Main Street Christian Church and lived her life with love and dedication to faith and her family. She was a loving wife, mother, "Meme," and sister who always put others before herself. She shared 54 wonderful years with her best friend and husband, Jay. They were truly a team—always by each other's side and supporting one another in every way. She worked for many years in accounting and was known for her strong work ethic both at work and at home. Frankie was the glue that held her family together—always checking in, always worrying, and always making sure no one ever went without. She had a heart of gold and a sense of humor that could brighten anyone's day. Frankie was the BEST cook around, and her family will miss her delicious meals and the warmth that came with them. She loved gardening and took great pride in growing her own vegetables. She was sweet, kind, selfless, and full of love. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories and love she gave so freely.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas "Fat" Tuggle; her brother, Mike Tuggle; and sister, Debbie Maiden.
Left to cherish her memory is her best friend and husband of 54 years of marriage, John "Jay" DeBusk, Jr.; her two sons, John-John DeBusk and wife Trish, Ben DeBusk and wife Karen; her mother, Lois Burgess Tuggle; sister, Faye McCready; four grandchildren, Ashton, Zach, Seth, and Cami DeBusk; special brothers-in-law, Mike Maiden, and Ralph McCready; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Main Street Christian Church, P.O. Box 657, Saltville, Virginia, 24370.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Elizabeth Cemetery in Saltville, with Pastor Stan Dunham officiating. Everyone is asked to please meet at the cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers will be John-John DeBusk, Ben DeBusk, Zach DeBusk, Seth DeBusk, Mike Jones, Tanner Smith, Dennis Moore, and R. T.
