Frances R. Hunt, age 81, transitioned into her eternal glory made possible by Jesus Christ her Lord on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Johnson City Medical Center. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She loved all of her family and church Family at Buckeye Hollow Free Pentecostal Church. Ever since she was a young girl, she devoted her life to serving the Lord. She was a selfless individual with a giving heart. She was known to always keep dollar bills to give to the children at church for the offering. She never passed up on an opportunity to help others. Frances had an infectious smile that would light up any room she was in. She had a special love for her pets, and one of her favorite things to do was riding through the country side with the pets and her husband Lincoln. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and selflessness. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nora Irene Roark; her husband, Charles Lincoln Hunt; brothers, Glenford "Brother John" Roark, Sidney "Sid" Roark; sisters, Evelyn Sue Ray, Betty Helton, Peggy Roark, and Nancy Wyrick.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Andy Hunt and wife Regina of Glade Spring, VA, Barry Hunt and girlfriend, Melissa Casey of Saltville, VA; six grandchildren, Alicia Hunt of Saltville, Sara Cox and husband Ryan of Marion, VA, Zeb Hunt and wife Emily of Pounding Mill, VA, Zek Hunt and wife Kimberly of Whiteville, NC, Caley Jo Hunt of Saltville, VA, and Alaina Raine Hunt of Saltville, VA; brothers, Phillip "Buddy" Roark, Dempsey "Wildfire" Roark and wife Judy, Frank "Peter Rabbit" Roark and wife Judy; several great-grandchildren; special niece, Charlene Grizzle and husband Wendell; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 1, 2024 at Buckeye Hollow Free Pentecostal Church with Brother Wade Kestner officiating the family will be receiving friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Mount Rose Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Zeb Hunt, Eli Hunt, Ryan Cox, Grant Cox, Wendell Grizzle, Ethan Johnson, Colton Kessner, Honorary Pallbearers will be Zek Hunt, Gram Hunt, Luke Cox, and adopted grandson, Mark "HotDog" Olinger.
