Frances Loretta Robbins, age 77, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va. Frances was born on January 27, 1947, in Saltville, Va. to her parents, Charlie and Eithel Taylor Rhea.

Frances was a selfless woman, and her door was always open. She loved her family more than anything and was always having them over for a meal. She loved to sew, cook, and baby sit her grandchildren. She was retired from Kennametal in Chilhowie, Va.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant boys, David Lee Robbins, Richard Bradley Robbins, and Stuart Wesley Robbins, Jr.; one sister, Shirley Lawrence; brothers, Buddy Rhea, Ralph Rhea, and Tim Rhea; mother-in-law, Mandy Robbins and father-in-law, Harry Lee Robbins; brothers-in-law, Wade Maloyed, George Robbins, Junior Robbins, Therman Robbins, Chain Lawrence, Jim Broyles, and David Olinger; sisters-in-law, Joyce Olinger, Teresa Rhea, and Kathleen Rhea.

Frances is survived by her husband of 57 years, Stuart Robbins; daughter, Carolyn Hamby (Joey); honorary daughter, Gloria Sexton (David); brothers, Roger Rhea, Ben Rhea (Wanda), Oscar Rhea (Mindy), Mike Rhea (Tammy); Rickey Rhea, and Smitty Rhea (Rita); sisters, Betty Maloyed (Johnny), and Brenda Amstein; grandchildren, Tori and Greg Alder, Shaina and Willie Vaughan, Garrett and Cheyenne Hamby, and Tucker Clifton; great-grandchildren, Charlee, Delilah, Kinsley, Violet, and Sophia; sisters-in-law, Elsie Robbins, Janice Robbins, and Merkie Broyles; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Kim Collis.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Loupe. Burial will follow at Elizabeth Cemetery in Saltville, Va. Pallbearers will be, Darryl Lawrence, Roger Maloyed, Derek Rhea, George Robbins, Jr., Timothy Broyles, Benny Rhea, Russell Robbins, Troy Grubb, and Mike Rhea. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Henderson Funeral Home.
