Gary Desmond Wyatt, age 74, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2023 at his home. He was born to the late William Carl and Dot Oliver Wyatt. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Joyce Warner Wyatt; his son, Gary Brian Wyatt; brothers, Kell Wyatt and Alan (Deetsie) Wyatt; brother-in-law, Junior Warner; and sister-in-law, Linda Wyatt.
Gary was a graduate of Rich Valley High school. He worked many years at Westinghouse and then spent the majority of his career employed at Southwest Virginia Regional Jail until his retirement. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed the camaraderie with all of his friends. Gary was truly a friend to all even outside of the golf course. He was a lifelong Tennessee Football fan and always kept up with college sports and also supported his nieces and nephews in their high school sports. Gary will be missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his fiancé, Sherry Arnold Little; sister-in-law, Darlene Moore and husband Rick; his nephews, Todd Wyatt and wife Debbie, Tony Wyatt, Chad Wyatt and wife Sabrina, Boy Moore and wife Kay, and Tony Warner; nieces, April Moore-Jones and husband Michael, Shelly Waddle and husband Scott, and Brandy Snead and husband Eric; great-nieces and nephews, Max, Chancellor, Brody, Tyler, Olivia, and Xavier.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Carrico officiating. The burial will follow at the Elizabeth Cemetery in Saltville, Va. The family will be receiving friends from 12 until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
