Geneva Anne Davidson Duncan

Geneva "Anne" Davidson Duncan, born December 12, 1939, completed her earthly pilgrimage on January 25, 2026. As she was raised to new life, no doubt she happily embraced her Lord and Savior knowing the truth of a restored soul. A lifelong member of the Plasterco/Saltville, VA
communities, her life is a witness to her own motto of "always make it matter." A scholar from youth, Anne attended R. B. Worthy High School. She went on to graduate at the top of her class from James Madison University earning a degree in chemistry and returned to her hometown to
share her love of science with her students.

Following her teaching engagement, Anne entered the field of business, alongside her husband and true lifelong friend, Robert C. Duncan. Together, they strived to positively impact their surrounding communities. Aside from owning and operating a community center (Duncans') for 50
years, Anne owned and operated H&R Block in Saltville, then later founder her own private tax business, ADD. She also was co-owner of the Willowbrook Restaurant where some fine food and memories were registered. Throughout her life, Anne was a collaborator and felt blessed to have a role in community legacy. Notable collaborations include her contributions to the Salt Kettle Theatre, Eastern Star, The Palmer Mill Newsletter, The Palmer Mill, and The Washington County Democratic Women. Speaking of politics, Anne loved working the polls, especially in the Clinchburg district.

With doors always open to the public, Anne was able to share her love for people and her scholarly wisdom from the Bible, the book she loved more than all her books, with those in need of the truth. She enjoyed all genres of literature, music, art, and theatre. As a committed supporter
of community artistic development, Anne was blessed to witness the growth and development of numerous gifted local artists and relished knowing their gifts would continue to enrich others.

Primary relatives welcoming Anne into the holy worship of her Lord include Robert C. Duncan (husband), Harvey Eugene Davidson (father), Leona Proffitt Davidson (mother), Johnny Wayne Davidson (brother), and Norma Jean "Trixie" Davidson (sister). She is survived by a colorful cast of family and friends who have been positively impacted by her greatness and will continue to remember her with love and longing. They will remember how she made it matter.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 30, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Henderson Funeral home chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Tom Prater officiating. Given winter conditions, private interment will be conducted at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, VA.  Honorary pallbearers include her community and neighbors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to charities of choice. Godspeed GADD.
