Glenda Kay Bryant, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, Virginia. She was born in Saltville Virginia, to the late Raleigh and Irene Allison on March 2, 1947. Glenda was a vibrant and loving woman, who dedicated her life to her family. A devoted homemaker, she was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Her warmth, kindness, good advice, and sense of humor left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. She found great joy in crafting and spending time with those she loved most — especially her beloved granddaughter and great-grandchildren. Glenda was always happiest when surrounded by family, sharing laughter and stories with her siblings and creating memories that will be treasured for generations. A spirited and fun-loving beautiful soul, Glenda also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino, where she loved trying her luck on the slot machines. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William R. Bryant; her stepfather, Jethro Stines; sister, Paula Puryear; and two brothers-in-law, Patrick Powers and Danny Newcomb.

Left to cherish her loving memory is her daughter, Wendi Randle and husband Randy; granddaughter, Kayla Breckley; three great-grandchildren, Maycee Kay Breckley, Marleigh Rae-Pearl Breckley and Maddison Raine Breckley five siblings, Brad Allison and wife Pauline, Carol Powers, Francis Newcomb, Ralph Allison and wife Johanna, and James Allison and wife Donna; brother-in-law Mitchell Puryear; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Bailey officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service. The burial will follow at the Elizabeth Cemetery in Saltville.
