Glade Spring, Va.

Gregory Dean Levitt, age 60, passed away on October 31, 2024, at his home in Glade Spring.  Greg was born on October 13, 1964, in Smyth County to his father, the late William (Bill) H. Levitt, and his mother, Peggy Phipps Hess.

Greg was an avid outdoorsman loving to hunt and fish, ride his motorcycle, and shoot guns.  Most of all, he loved spoiling his "fur baby" Magnum who was treated with a teaspoon of vanilla ice cream every night after dinner.

Including his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rovie and Georgie Levitt; and his maternal grandparents, William "Buckeye" and Kathleen "Kat" Phipps.

Left to cherish his memory is his fiancée of 16 years, Rebecca Hall; mother, Peggy Phipps Hess; two sisters, Tammy Eads and husband Rick, and Rita Martone and husband Joe; daughter's, Candice and Lakyn; four grandchildren; nephew, Cody Eads; and niece, Crystal Wright; his "fur baby" Magnum; and many cousins, and friends.

Memorial services for Greg will be announced at a later date.  The family will be receiving friends at his home at the following address, 14012 Prices Bridge Road, Glade Spring, Va.
