Chilhowie, VA Heather D. Hess, age 40, went to be with her Lord Thursday, July 8, 2021. She was at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. She was preceded in death by her brother, Travis Johnson; aunt, Betty Patrick; and father-in-law, Ricky Hess, Sr. Heather is survived by her husband of 24 year, Ricky Hess, Jr.; sons, Christopher Hess and wife Diana, and Jordan Hess; grandson Atticus Hess; her parents, Jeff and Barbara Johnson; mother-in-law, Joan Hess; and sister-in-law, Samantha Hess. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville, VA with Rev. David Mumpower and Rev. William McCollian officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
