Helen J. Vanko, age 86 entered into the arms of Jesus on Friday, December 2, 2022. She was born on October 2, 1936, to Worley and Elizabeth Harris Davidson. Helen was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who always put others first.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Paul Vanko; her siblings, Barbara "Tick" Keesee and Worley "Buck" Davidson.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Vanko; granddaughter, Lauren Blevins and husband William; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Kaitlyn and Joy Blevins, all of Glade Spring, VA, Jackie McDavid of Gulf Shores AL, whom she loved like a daughter; sister-in-law, Hilda Davidson

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Harvey Atkinson officiating. The burial will follow at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, VA. The family will be receiving friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
