Jack Walter Babcock, age 61, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at Smyth County Hospital in Marion, VA. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend to those who knew him. Jack was a faithful Christian, and loved going on mission trips helping others. He was preceded in death his parents, Floyd Babcock and Mary Russell; wife, Sarah Taylor Babcock; brother, Michael Babcock; and sister, Marie Landon.

Jack is survived by his son, Kevin Babcock; daughter, Cheryl Babcock Bennett and husband Chris, grandchildren, Evan Maner, Kalyn Maner, Jaxon Maner, Oaklynn Bennett, Jameson Bennett, Shelby Bennett and Kinsley Bennett; brother, Carl Babcock; stepsisters, Shelly Cowen and Sharleen Duram; stepbrother, Arnie Russell; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Midway Church of the Living God in Abingdon, Va. with Jeff Gross officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
