Jack Harding Lamie, age 78, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, KY.  Jack was born January 2, 1947 in Tannersville, Va. to the late Warren and Cordelia Robbins Lamie.  Jack was a member of the Tannersville Church of Christ.  Including his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Lamie Bryant; one great grandchild; and brother-in-law, Samuel Wagner.

Jack enjoyed hunting and fishing during his younger years when he was able.  In later years, he enjoyed playing golf with the seniors at the Saltville Golf Course.  He was an avid reader.  Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and loved having his family around.

Those left to cherish his loving memory is his wife of 57 years, Sally Lamie; children, Jackie Sue Houchins and husband David, Jeff Lamie and wife Cindi, and Cindy Lamie; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Rick Lamie and wife Nellie, Jody Lamie and wife Mary, Gary Lamie and wife Debbie, and Kiemer Lamie and wife Robin; sisters, Toni Leigh Muritz and husband Irvan, Anita Holmes and husband Phillip, and Lisa Ashley and husband Mike; brothers-in-law, Bill Wagner and wife Cheryl, Letcher Wagner and wife Carolyn, and Ben Wagner and wife Tammy; sister-in-law, Ellen Wagner; and a special brother-in-law, Richard Bryant and wife Allison.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the Tannersville Church of Christ with Pastor Ronnie Mullins officiating.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tannersville Rescue Squad and the Saltville Rescue Squad.
