James "Jimmy" Arnold Hopkins, age 67, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Valley Health and Rehab in Chilhowie, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Elsie Prater Hopkins; sisters and spouses, Georgia (Howard) Martin, Daisy (Bill) Durbin, Polly O'Dell, and Kay (Dickie) Bishop.

Jimmy is survived by his brothers, Jack and wife Ann Hopkins of Mt. Airy, MD, and Tommie and wife Susie Hopkins of Saltville, VA; brother-in-law, Sonny O'Dell; Uncle Joe Frye; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say thanks to the staff of Valley Health Care and special nurse, Sissy Horn, who went above and beyond to take care of Jimmy.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Christian Faith Ministries with Pastor Mike Hasley and Pastor Zack Halsey officiating.
