Saltville, Va. James "Jimmy" Dakota Carter, age 18, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021 from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was a 2021 graduate from Northwood High School. He was a trainer at the Saltville Lifetime Wellness Center. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Robert Lowery and Troy and Lola Repass; Leon and Bertha Carter, and Ken and Virgie Sexton. Jimmy is survived by his mother, Leslie Carter and Scott Walton; father Mark Carter and Lori Asbury; brothers, Marcus Carter, and Logan Harris; sisters, Katelyn Doane, and Maddi Gillespie; grandparents, Ronald and Debbie Repass, Junebug Carter, and Karen and Bo Surber, great grandmother's Ruth Sharitz and Minnie Lowery; special nephew, Jaxon Carter; his very special friend, Jakeb Estridge and special family friend, Chris Sheets; and a Gazillion other family and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Common Grounds downtown Saltville with Rev. Barry Loupe officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 6 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Due to limited seating, please feel free to bring a chair or blanket. Pallbearers will be Bradley Tedder, Kole Pickle, Mayson Maiden, Adam Bordwine, Andrew Goff, Luke Carter, Dyson Briggs, Ryan Greer, Ethan Kimberlin, Dusty Jackson, Logan Barrett, Tyler Smith, Cole Henderson, Andrew McGlocklin and Zac Puckett.
