James "Butch" Curtis Frye, Jr.

James "Butch" Curtis Frye, Jr., age 54, passed away at his home on Monday, February 6, 2023. He was an avid outdoorsman throughout his life who loved to hunt and fish. He worked as a carpenter building houses and was always a handyman. Butch loved all of his family, and his world revolved around his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Lisa Frye; his two daughters, Amanda Jackson and husband Cory of Chilhowie, Va., Lakin Garrett and husband Andrew of Abingdon, Va.; mother and father, James "Jim" Frye, Sr. and Brenda Hawthorne Frye; one brother, David Frye; his grandchildren, Akacia, Trinaty, Nova, Owen, Aria, and Caiden; he is also survived by many special friends.

A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
