James R. Haynes (Jim, Jimmy), age 68, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, December 1, 2022. He was born and raised in Saltville, Va. and was a graduate of the 1972 class at Rich Valley High School. He was preceded by his parents, George S. "Penny" and Clemmie Haynes.

Jim is survived by his wife of 48 years, Tammy Haynes; children, Angel Puckett (Erik), Michael Haynes, and Jeremy Haynes (Ann); granddaughters, Brianna, Kelsey, Ashley, Jayden, Addison, and Leah; great granddaughter, Ava; brother, Thomas "Toby" Haynes and wife Terry; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery with Pastor Scott Spence officiating.
