James Carson "Jim" Davidson, age 74, of Saltville, Va., met his Lord in Heaven on March 28, 2022 in Bristol Regional Medical Center after a tiring battle with illness. Born on July 1, 1947, to the late Marvin Alvin Davidson and Claudine Frye Davidson in Saltville, Va., he was a lifelong hard worker who devoted time to his beautiful flower gardens. Jim loved being outside, and most of all, he loved sitting on his front porch to admire the fruits of his green thumb. It was through his time spent outside and at work that he forged relationships with countless people who would surely call him their friend. In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his daughter, Emily Maria Davidson; his brothers, Gary Davidson, Jackie Lewis Davidson, and Billy Davidson; his sisters, Shelby Davidson Prater and her husband, Billy, and Nanny Davidson Tolbert. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 50 years, Joyce Blake Davidson; his daughter Melondy Rebecca Davidson; his granddaughter, Alyssa Blake Davidson; his brother, Dennis Davidson; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends.
