James Calven "Jimmy" Olinger, age 66, of Glade Spring, Va., passed away, on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Born on July 9, 1956, in Saltville, Va., to the late Vernon Calven Olinger and Mary Alice Dean Olinger, Jim was an outgoing man who loved people, the outdoors, horses, and his dogs. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Deborah Olinger Payne. He is survived by his sons, Jacob Vernon Olinger (Crystal), Jeremy Charles Olinger, and Justin James Olinger; many grandchildren; three great grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and more friends than a person could count. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at the Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, Va., with Pastor Wade Kestner officiating. Matthew Burke, Shawn Lawson, Scott Burnop, R.J. Burke, and Seth Payne will serve as pallbearers.
