James Lee Riley

James Lee Riley, age 52, of Bluff City, Tennessee, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1973. James' life was one of many chapters—some difficult, some beautiful, and all undeniably his. He faced more than his share of ups, downs, and struggles over the years, but recently he had turned a new page. He found peace in his faith, was saved, and grew close to the Lord. He loved going to church and spent time each day reading his Bible, finding comfort, direction, and hope in its pages. Always a free spirit, James lived life his own way. He loved hard, cared deeply, and those who knew him felt that love in a real and honest way. A straight shooter, he told things just the way they were—never sugar-coated, always genuine.

James enjoyed music of all kinds and could often be found with a book in his hands.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Riley.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Angela Riley; son, Joe Dylan Riley; his mother, Carolyn "Sadie" Carrier; his three stepsons, Dustin Rogers, Trey Lowe, and Eli Stanley;  two brothers, David Williams and Carlina, and Aaron Williams; special friends who were like family, Wanda Black and her family; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
