Janice Loraine Aker Saltville, VA Janice Loraine Aker, age 76, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Leonard Davidson and mother, Amanda Melvina Tuggle Davidson; also, four brothers, Sidney Franklin, John Wesley, Sanders (Joe), and Luther Arlyn (Jack) Davidson; two sisters, Virgie Lee Surber and Daisy Mae Crusenberry. Janice was a lifetime member of Buckeye Hollow Pentecostal Holiness Church, a former youth leader and Sunday School teacher, and loved singing in the choir. She was a former employee of Tultex corp. of Chilhowie and also a former employee of Northwood Highschool as a cook, where everyone called her "Granny". Janice is survived by her husband of 58 years, Waymon C. Aker; one son, William (Teddy) Aker; grandson, Andrew Aker; great-grandson, Dominic Aker; one sister, Virginia Christine Olinger all of Saltville, VA; also, a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.
