Jeffrey Allen Collins Saltville, VA Jeffrey Allen Collins age 74, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 19, 2022. He is proceeded in death by his parents Everette and Vetra Collins; brother, Mike (Donna) Collins, and brother Pat Collins; brothers-in-law, Johnny Renick and Mike Felty. Jeff was a devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend, and proud military veteran. He leaves behind wife of 49 years, Barbara Barrett Collins; daughter, Crystal (John) Shepherd; son, Dennis Collins; grandsons, Jason (Savannah) Shepherd and Justin (Megan) Shepherd; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Trevor, Scarlette, and Ella, He is survived by brothers, Phil (Treva) Collins and Justin (Velma) Collins; sisters, Mel (Bill) Perry, Bev Renick, Faye (Jerry) Norman, Sheila (Leonard) Austin, Cindy (Dean) Shortt; sisters-in-law, Sandy (Frank) Felty, Rita Felty, and Hazel Collins; and many nieces and nephews. Jeff grew up on the Muck Dam and was a neighbor to everyone in Saltville. He never met a stranger and enjoyed hosting cookouts on the hill for family and friends. He loved to be being outside; farming, mowing, and starting water fights. Loved to joke and sing, although he made up his own words to most songs. He adored his wife and children. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the First Christian Church (425 Allison Gap Rd, Saltville, VA 24370) A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022, at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Harris officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Elizabeth Cemetery with military rites held by the United States Army Honor Guard and V.F.W. Post #4667.
