Jerry Wayne Thompson, Sr. Saltville, VA Jerry Wayne Thompson, Sr., age 68, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Jerry was a musician who loved to play the guitar. He was also an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Thompson; five brothers, Charles, Preston, Ray, Clarence and Dale; sister, Frances Clark; mother-in-law, "Mimi" Walters; two brothers-in-law, Wayne and Eddie Walters. He is survived by his wife Rebecca Thompson; children, Judith Robert and husband Daniel, Jerry Wayne Thompson, Jr., Marissa Frye and husband Johnny, Zach Thompson and Clarrissa Thompson; two brothers, Paul & Cindy Thompson and Archie; four sisters, Beulah Coe (Everett), Opal Spears (Emmett), Connie Kerley (Steve), and Eva Davenport (Whrenza); grandchildren, Johnny Thompson, Danielle Robert, Adam Robert, Brady Robert, Ryan Robert, Madison Thompson, Skyler Griffey, Cannon Cregger, Carson Cregger, Maelyn Frye, and Parker Frye; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Henderson Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
