Jo Ann Tolbert, age 74, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

Born on October 18, 1951, in Saltville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Helen Call. Jo Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister whose family meant everything to her. Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Jo Ann enjoyed crafting and had a special talent for creating things with her hands, but above all, she treasured the time she shared with her family. She will be remembered for her loving heart, caring spirit, and the many memories she created with those she loved most.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 43 years of marriage, Garland Junior Tolbert; her beloved grandson, Tanner Jones; and her first husband, John Michael Henderson.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Wayne Tolbert, Monica Jones, Tammy Dinsmore and husband Allen; sister, Barbara Call; grandchildren, Landon Clevenger, Chelsi Jones, Jadon Dinsmore, Kayla Dinsmore, and Patricia Waddell; great-grandchildren, Bently Michael and Gracelynn Waddell.

Funeral services will be conducted at Henderson Funeral Home on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 7 p.m. with Randy Surber officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
