John Floyd Thomas, Jr., aged 56, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2024, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Born on April 29, 1967, in Olney, Maryland, he leaves behind a legacy of kindness and selflessness. John's free spirit guided him through life's journey, touching the hearts of all who knew him. For several years, he dedicated himself to working grounds maintenance on golf courses. Throughout his life he also enjoyed playing golf. He always enjoyed to fish and spend time outdoors. But most importantly, he was a Christian, a loving son, and loving brother.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Thomas; and his grandparents.

Left to cherish his memory is his father, John Floyd Thomas, Sr.; his brother, Tim Thomas; special cousins, Jerry Cannon, Jr., and Karen Lou Holmes; and also, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Garrett officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
