Joseph (Joey) Jessie Griffith, Jr., age 45, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2022, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Va.

He was a very sweet and loving father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather. Joey was an avid UFC fan and also enjoyed football, Pawn Stars, and American Pickers. He was the definition of a family man and liked to help his family out as much as he could. His family will always fondly reminisce on how funny he was, how much he liked to joke, play pranks on us, and most importantly, how much he loved us.

Joey is survived by his mother, Lorna Griffith; daughters, Chelsey Griffith, and Lacie Ashby; grandchildren Oakley Dickerson, Finley Dickerson, and Graham Gordon; brothers, Allan Thomas, and Steven Weaver; Uncle, Dave Weaver; nephew, Elias Thomas; and Niece, Stevie-Jean Weaver.
