Joy Yvonne Moore Rude, age 69, passed away on Sunday, November 6th at Bristol Regional Medical Center.

Joy was a truly special person and always had a smile on her face. She cherished her family, never met a stranger, and always made everyone around her feel loved. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Alice Moore; and sister, Patricia Moore.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Rude; son, Rodney Frye, Jr. and April; stepdaughters, Kim Hart, and Amanda Stansbury; brothers, James "Bo" Moore, and Randy Moore; sisters, Debbie Sword, Linda Jackson and Ricky; grandchildren, Ethan Frye, Justin Frye, Brandon Hart, Hannah Hart, Clara Stansbury, Gavin Stansbury; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and numerous friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Bristol Regional 3rd floor and intensive care units for the special care they showed her.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, Va. with Jerry "Byrd" Frye officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at D. R. Henderson Funeral Home.
