Juanita Combs Williams, age 84, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Juanita was born July 7, 1940, to the late Leander and Lannie Brooks Combs. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Juanita was always happy with a smile and a laugh that would brighten any room. She was a long-time employee of the Piggly Wiggly in Glade Spring until it closed. She was a prep cook at Mountain Side Restaurant in Chilhowie that was owned by her daughter, Kathy. Juanita was a Godly woman, and she was a life-long member of the Grosses Creek Baptist Church.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Conley Williams; one daughter, Karen Williams Shelton; sisters, Delcie Pennington, Mary Blevins, Marie Pennington, Edith Doss, Hattie Winebarger, and Ethel Sheets; brothers, Lewis Combs, and Dean Combs.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Kathy Williams, and son, Curtis Williams; grandson, Curtis Williams, Jr.; granddaughters, Ashley Williams, and Kayla Pippin; one sister, Shirley Blevins of Chilhowie; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, special niece Linda Larmer.

The family would like to thank the staff at Valley Rehab and Nursing and Johnston Memorial Hospital and her care giver, Faith Rose.

Graveside services for Juanita Combs Williams will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, VA with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville, VA.
