Saltville, Va. Karen Diane Henderson Allison, aged 72 of Saltville, Virginia passed away Wednesday May 26, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband "Bunk" Allison; her parents, John Bill and Nina Henderson; brothers Mikey, Buddy, and Garland Henderson; and sister Jean Morse. Diane loved the time she spent traveling to construction jobs and working alongside Bunk. But she would be the first to tell you that the most important job she ever had was being a mother. There was no one or nothing that could compare to her daughter Mindie. She loved to talk about her and would tell everyone she met how proud she was of her. Diane is survived by Mindie and her husband Christopher Hughes of Saltville. She is also survived by brothers, Gerald (Kiddie) Henderson, Charles (Ruthanne) Henderson, Rudy (Francis) Henderson, and Danny (Linda) Henderson; sisters Linda (Bill) McElroy and Sheila DeBord; sisters-in-law, Angie Henderson and Glenna Henderson; brother-in-law Andy (Jean) Allison. Many nieces and nephews. Special friends and family members who called and checked on her often, Georgie Allison, Sherry Allison, Mike and Tine Wassum, JoAnn Tolbert, Nyoka Cook, and Betty Griffitts. Per request by her daughter, there will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held later this summer on her birthday.
