Karen Kay Compton, age 60, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. Karen was born in Saltville, VA to the late Emmett and Eunice Compton. She loved sewing, playing board games, card games, and working crossword puzzles.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Thomas, and several siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Mattie Allison and Heather Compton; brother, Lee Thomas; sisters, Sue Thomas, Ruth Osborne, and Dorothy Browning; one Nephew, Brian Thomas; grandchildren, Landon Hughes, Alison Compton, David Compton, Savannah Allison, Harmony Mitchell, Laikyn Allison, Ronin Scharnakau, and Kara Allison.
