Larry "Cotton" Wayne Hayton Saltville, VA Larry "Cotton" Wayne Hayton, age 66, passed away at his home at North Holston on Friday, November 19, 2021. Cotton was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting. He always enjoyed watching his old westerns. Cotton was preceded in death by his parents, Avery "Pete" and Annie Ruth Hayton; and one brother, Jackie Hayton. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Janice Stumbo Hayton; two daughters, Samantha Hayton, and Jeanie Woodard (Randy); two sons, Richard Stiltner (Brenda), and James Billings; two brothers, Vernon Hayton, and Darrell Hayton; two sisters, Becky Hayton and Kathy Moore; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to CARIS Hospice for all of their care and comfort during these difficult times. A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Brown officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dylan Coalson, Tanner Hamby, Austin Boardwine, Larry Boardwine, Skylar Boardwine, and Randy Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Stiltner, and Samuel Hayton.
