Glade Spring, VA Lee Ann Farris, age 86, passed away at Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, Va. Lee Ann lived alone but she did not die alone for she believed in the Lord and he came for her Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Lee Ann was born March 12, 1935 in Saltville, Virginia and was the fourth child in a family of ten children. She was preceded in death by her parents; Rolph W. Farris and Mary Frances Farris Adair; sisters, Sue Carol Honaker, and Betty Zavala; and brothers, Harold R. Farris, and Elmer Farris. She is survived by two sisters, Eleanor (Judy) Velasco and Freida Adair Crutchfield; three brothers, Curtis Adair, Moe Adair (Sharon), and Joe Adair (Debi); and many nieces and nephews that she loved and cared for. Lee Ann loved bird watching, antiques, and westerns. Most of all she loved her family to no ends. When she wasn't busy caring for her family, you might find her at the "Spirit" eating a biscuit and drinking coffee or at the Senior Citizen's center checking on friends and neighbors. She was deeply loved and she will be missed more than words can say. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Byars Cobbs United Methodist Church with Pastor Donnie Bailey officiating.
