Saltville, Va. Lena Sue Cox Pauley, age 71, of Saltville, Va. went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 24, 2021 following a long illness. Lena was born March 11, 1950 to the late Thomas and Imagene Cox. She grew up in West Virginia and located to Virginia in 1989 but always missed West Virginia and dreamed of returning in her later years. She attended Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas David Cox. Left to cherish her memory, is her beloved husband, Charles W. Pauley; sons, Thomas Dickerson and wife Terressa of Saltville, Va.; Richard Dickerson and wife Angela of Saltville, Va.; step-son, David Pauley of Red House, West Va.; daughter, Pamela Weiss and husband David of Glen Morgan, West Va.; step-daughter, Dana Harmon and husband Anthony of Merritt Island, Fl.; sister-in-law, Trina Cox. She has eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two nephews and one niece. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Kathy Cox, Lena's care giver, for the care that she provided to Lena during her illness. Her soul is in Heaven and per Lena's request, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
