Linda Ann Davenport

Linda Ann Davenport, age 75, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2025. She was born on October 17, 1949 in Marion, Virginia. Linda enjoyed gardening, bird watching and spending time with her family. She loved animals and never turned away a stray, which is how she ended up with seven cats, an opossum and a skunk living on her back porch.

She was preceded in death by her husband, "Moody" Edmond Davenport.

Left to cherish her memory is her best friend her cat "Boots"; her daughters, Maggie Riggle (Randy), and Jodie Alexander; her brother, Bill Freeman and sisters, Patsy Roe and Mary "Libby" Price; grandchildren, Amanda, Samantha, Annie, Josh, Megan, Rebecca and Joey; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Liam, Jasper, Max, Gracie, Abby, Lilly, Logan and Raven; one nephew, Tommy Roe; and nieces, Sarah, Emily, Indie Rae and Daisy Blaine.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Henderson Funeral.  The family will be receiving friends 12 until 1 p.m. prior to the service. The burial will be following at Forest Hills Memory Gardens in Abingdon, Virginia.
