Obituary

Saltville, Va.

Linda Carol Keith, 77, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, surrounded by loving family. Linda will be remembered for her devotion to Christ her Lord and Savior, her warmth, and her generosity. Linda was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School, and she worked in manufacturing for over 30 years. Linda was a dedicated member of the Saltville Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School for over 25 years. She played the piano for the congregation for those 25 plus years as well.

Linda may have been small in stature, but she possessed a remarkable strength, a resilience that shone brightly, especially in challenging times. She faced life’s adversities with courage and optimism. She would not hesitate to tell you that her strength came from her faith and the Lord. Linda was grateful for all that she had and had been given during her life. The best expression of her gratefulness is how she would give to others.

For over 56 years Linda enjoyed spending most of her time with her dear husband Bobby. She loved helping him work on cars, lawnmowers, or any other project that he was working on. In turn, he made sure that Linda had whatever she needed or wanted. She loved and cared deeply for all of their precious pets, Snapper, Hopper, General, Dusty, Gunner, and Callie. You could often see Bobby and Linda driving around town with their pets in tow. Linda loved her family and attended the many gatherings at her sister-in-law Shirley’s home. She always said a heartfelt blessing over the meals at family gatherings. Linda was famous for her banana pudding and there was never a drop left during these family events.

Linda loved listening to LPs on her turn table. If she was not spending time with Bobby or her family, she could be found reading or listening to music. Bobby had to build her multiple bookshelves to hold all of her books. She had the most precious giggle and the most beautiful smile. Linda always said that she was so blessed for the life she had since meeting Bobby. The truth is that Bobby and his family were the ones blessed to have Linda in their lives.

Linda is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lee Keith; her parents, Claude and Virginia Asbury; sister-in-law, Shirley Keith Carter; brothers-in-law, Carl Carter, Arthur Sanders “San” Keith, Larry Dean “Bo” Keith, and Charlie Barrett; niece, Mitzie Carter Greer; and nephew, Charles C. Taylor.

Linda is survived by her sister, Claudette Asbury; brother, Allen Asbury; nieces, Suzanne Carter Abramson (Markus), Hayley Keith, Sonya Farris (David), Nickie Asher (Dan), April Taylor (Nicole), and Belinda Barrett; nephews, Ernest “Tuffy” Greer Sr, Kris Keith (Sarah), and Bryan Taylor; great nephew, Ernest “TJ” Greer, Jr; sister-in laws, Betty Jo Keith, Judy Barrett, and Pat Taylor (Millard). She is also survived by several other great nieces and nephews.
