Saltville, VA Locke G. McVey, age 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 25, 2020. Locke was preceded in death by his parents, Garrett H. and Lillian O. McVey, and his loving wife of 58 years, Elsie Burgess McVey. Locke was a Godly Man and loved his church. He was a good Christian role model. He has now achieved the goal he strived for his entire life, to be with God in heaven and now reunited with his wife. Locke is survived by his two sons, Doug McVey and wife Melisa, Bryant McVey and wife Amy all of Saltville, VA; one brother, George (Bill) McVey and wife Joan; special sisters-in-law, Eunice Burgess of Saltville, VA, and Shirley Burgess of Marion, VA; several special nieces and nephews; Locke is also survived by his dear friend and race buddy, Robert (Cotton) Smith and his Beaver Creek bridge buddies, also his fur baby and constant companion, Trixie. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery with Rev. R.L. Frye officiating.
