It is with great sorrow and sadness that the family of Lois Ann Debord Harris, age 90, announces her passing on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, TN.

Lois was born August 20, 1935, to the late Thomas and Rosie Crutchfield Debord. She was an excellent wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to cook. Her family enjoyed many happy holidays enjoying her wonderful meals and homemade candy. During retirement, she and James were fond of flea markets and yard sales. She will be greatly missed by her sons and grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Holston Valley Medical Center for their excellent care.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James Walker Harris, Sr. (December 7, 2015); sisters, Hazel Surber and Beulah Debord; brothers, Jack, John, Gene, and J.L. Debord.

She is survived by her three sons, James Walker "J.W." Harris, Jr. (Vickie) of Elizabethton, TN; Michael Harris of Gate City, VA; and Clarence Harris of Concord, NH; sisters, Mickey Greer of Mendota, VA, and Dorothy Harris of Chicago, Illinois; sister-in-law, Roberta Lee of Saltville, VA; two grandchildren, Jamie Campbell (Shane) and Dustin Harris; three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Harris, Walker James Campbell, and Boone Henry Campbell; and many special nieces and nephews, including Delores Marshall, Connie Lee, Gene Lee, Steve and Vida Debord, Terri Lynn Brewer, Jerry Greer, Wanda Surber, Kathy Surber, Linda Surber, Paul Thompson, Bill and Joe Thompson, Stevie Debord, Dennis Debord, Dorothy Harris, Brenda Harris, David Harris, and Vicky Debord; many other loving family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Mount Rose Cemetery Mausoleum, 10069 Crescent Road, Glade Spring, VA 24340. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
