Lorraine B. Mash, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Valley Rehab and Nursing in Chilhowie, VA. Lorraine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She loved cooking, and it was not just a skill for her; it was a form of expression, a way to convey her love and warmth to those around her. Above all she was a dedicated Christian, she enjoyed reading her Bible daily and she was a member of the Chilhowie First Church of God.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, "Shug" and Margaret Buchanan; her husband, Thomas Mash; her son, Ed Mash; and sister, Dorothy Blevins.

Left to cherish her memory are her two siblings, Ted Buchanan of Chilhowie, and Naomi Hutton of Kingsport, TN; her two grandsons, Jason Mash and Jeris Doane of Chilhowie, VA, and Zachary Eldreth of Glade Spring, VA; six great-grandchildren, Alyssa Price and husband Logan, Garrett Mash, Conner Eldreth, Amberly Eldreth, Layken Bishop, and Austin Stanley; nieces and nephew, Mark, Julie, Gloria, and Nancy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Henderson Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Dunn officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 2 until 4 p.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Mount Rose Cemetery. Everyone is asked to please meet at the cemetery.
