Luther Frank Havens, Jr., age 70, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Frank was born in Rich Valley, VA, on March 24, 1953, to the late Luther Frank Havens, Sr. and Lula Mae Lamie Havens. He was employed for several years at Virginia House Furniture in Atkins, VA, later in his career he was employed at Musser Lumber Company in Rural Retreat, VA. He was a lifelong farmer who farmed every day, even in his later years. Frank was a member of Marion Pentecostal Holiness Church where he spent time ministering and always singing with his church family. Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley Hall Havens; and his sister, Nannie Martin.

He is survived by his two sons, Richard Havens of Christiansburg, VA, and Luther Chris Havens of Chilhowie, VA; four sisters, Mary Johnson and husband Lewis of Adwolfe, VA, Judy Roark and husband Frank of Kingsport, TN, Jo Rita Breeding and husband Blaine of Lebanon, VA, and Lynn Fullen and husband Tim of Glade Spring, VA; two brothers, Paul Havens and wife Stephanie of Abingdon, VA, and John Kelly Havens of Abingdon VA; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Lewis Bebber.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Marion Pentecostal Holiness Church in Marion, VA, with Pastor Donald Mutter officiating. The burial will follow at Ridgedale Cemetery in Rich Valley, VA. The family will be receiving friends from 1 until 2 p.m. prior to the service.
