Matthew 25:23 (KJV) Mara Gaile Hunt, age 69, of Saltville, Va., joined her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in Heaven on April 16, 2022, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Gaile was born on April 12, 1953, to the late Tommy and Geneva (Blevins) Harris in Saltville, Va. Gaile married Ted Allen Hunt, who called her "the love of his life" in 1972. Gaile and Ted spent 49 years of unconditionally loving marriage and partnership together. She was happiest when she was home taking care of her husband and grandchildren. Her daughter and grandchildren were her greatest joy and were the center of her world. Those who knew Gaile could see that she was a loving and caring mother to many; even those who were not her natural-born children. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant, lovingly named Baby T. Gaile is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Ted Allen Hunt; her daughter Tiphney Hunt; her grandchildren, David and Matthew Evans; her brother Roger Harris (Dawn); her three sisters-in-law, Connie Martin (David), Loreen Wilson, and Francis Hunt; her aunt, Carolyn Barr; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Mount Rose Cemetery with Pastor Wade Kestner and Pastor Allen Hunt officiating. Matthew Evans, David Evans, Brad Totten, Chad Totten, Tommy Hunt, and Michael Evans will be serving as pallbearers.
