Meadowview, Va. Margaret Ellen Hamm, age 71, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 17, 2021. She was born on July 26, 1949 to the late Mary Ellen and Fred Allen Tuell. Including her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Paul Tuell and Curtis Tuell; one sister, Ruth Ursula Looney. Margaret is survived by her husband of 51 years, James R. Hamm, Sr.; great grandson, Cayden Hayton of the home; daughters, Barbara Hite (Wayne) of Kingsport, TN, Becky Widner (Jackie) of Chilhowie, Va.; son, James Hamm, Jr. of Chilhowie, Va.; brothers, Billy Tuell, Bobby Tuell and David Tuell all of Chilhowie, Va.; grandchildren, Dustin Cox, Amanda Thomas (Justin), Melanie Hamm and fiancé Dylan, Kaitlyn, Cory, Colton Hamm and Danielle Hite. Margaret is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, Aryauna, Carter, Tyson, Blaine, Cameron, Carson, Easton, and Ryker; and several nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Johnston Memorial Hospital Cancer Center and Home health/Hospice of Chilhowie, Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Henderson Funeral Home with Rev. Tracy Puckett officiating.
