Melissa "Missie" Dawn Bentley Chilhowie, VA Melissa "Missie" Dawn Bentley, age 40, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jewel Dean Gilley and Peggy Jean Holmes, and one sister Jean Pauley. Missie enjoyed riding horses, barrel racing, and taking care of her animals. She had a passion for photography, and spent the last years of her life pouring her heart and soul into her work. She named the business "Luv Luv Photography" after the saying that her mother passed down to her. Every time she would say goodbye to the ones she loved, she would say "love, love". It was like her own unique way of showing her love to everyone around her. Missie was a very outgoing person with a young soul. She loved her daughter Danie more than life. She is survived by the love of her life, Patrick Lee Testerman; her daughter, Danie Testerman and boyfriend Will Tuell; three brothers, Michael Bentley and wife Linda, David Bentley and wife Kim, and Kenneth Bentley; one sister, Amy Lynn Parks; special friend "Red" Sheets; several nieces and nephews; and her special companion, Charlie Special thanks to Kelly Harmon Richardson. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Henderson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Elizabeth Cemetery.
