Melissa Ann Spencer Tuggle, age 58, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Melissa was born on May 3, 1968 in Saltville, VA. She attended Patrick Henry High School.

Melissa loved spending time with her family and playing with her grandbabies. She loved to listen to classic rock especially ACDC. She enjoyed watching Johnny Depp movies along with many other movies and TV shows. Melissa liked Dale Earnhardt “The Intimidator” #3 race car driver. She enjoyed her favorite beverages, Pepsi and iced tea.

Those left to cherish her memory is her mother, Lacy Hartman and husband Ernest Hartman; her father, Grant Spencer; her children, Kristy Tedder and husband Gary Pennington, and Christopher Tedder; sisters, Jennifer Thacker and Kim Spencer; brother, Otis Eugene Spencer; grandson, Lucas Thomas; her fur baby “Duke”; and several nieces and nephews and many friends.

There will be no services at this time.
